BLACK BOX - Faux Mouvement Centre d'Art Contemporain, Metz, France - July 6th to October 22nd, 2017

'Black Box' resulted from an open call to artists to create an exhibition of postcards.  It was organised by artist Arvid Boecker of Boeckercontemporary in Heidelberg, Germany; and was originally exhibited as part of the Çonstellations de Metz art festival at the Faux Mouvement, Centre d'art contemporain, Metz, France.

The exhibition involved 250 artists from 22 countries and 5 continents - Germany, Netherlands, Cyprus, Australia, Switzerland, Japan, France, Luxembourg, Belgium, UK, Mexico, USA, Ireland, Israel, Morocco, Norway, Sweden, Estonia, Thailand, Finland, Turkey and Denmark.  The cards were exhibited in a display case and were changed every two weeks so that all cards would be seen.

I contributed the work "Art Is Theft" - gouache applied over a pre-existing postcard from 1996 - the front and back of the card can be seen below.

Here are a selection of the works displayed in the box, where the works on display would be re-arranged every 2 weeks.  (credit - https://www.facebook.com/fxmvt/photos/a.1550047221913529.1073741826.1550047161913535/2022718814646365/?type=3&theater
